They say a picture speaks a thousand words. But sometimes we don't see the whole picture. Especially when it comes to the media.
With situations from Ebola to ISIS; are we really receiving all of the correct information? Does the media only tell us what we want to hear? Is their main goal to attract enough viewers or to speak the truth? We may never know. The ability for the media to twist and alter different events to their liking is appalling.
I believe the best way to avoid being deceived by the media is to use outside sources. For example, if you wanted to learn about a virus spreading throughout america use a news source from Switzerland. If the source has no bias they will be more likely to give the whole story not just one side.
